Didier ISINGIZWE is a second-year medical student at University of Global Health Equity. In July 2020, he attended an online course entitled “An Equity-Approach to Pandemic Preparedness and Response: Emerging Insights from COVID-19 Global Response Leaders” jointly prepared by partners in Health and University of Global Health Equity. From the course, he was very impressed by how technological innovations such as robots, drones, fast communication, etc. have greatly contributed to the early and decisive response to Covid-19 in Rwanda. As an aspiring medical oncologist, he plans to advance cancer prevention and treatments via innovative technologies. Recently, he worked with the UGHE IT team to set up “Students e-Learning resources” course on Canvas. This will equip students with the skills they need to personally overcome issues they face during online classes. He enjoys football, newspapers, and learning new things.
