NCST Conference

The outbreak of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first reported to World Health Organization (WHO) in December 2019. Covid-19 has been the most disruptive tragedy in this century affecting the well being of humanity in terms of disrupting the health and social and economic fabric of all nations. To date, more than 220 million people have contracted the disease, of which more than 4.5 million have succumbed to the disease.

Science and technology advances have demonstrated the potential to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 through improved application of technological tools to improve the welfare of society. There is a need for researchers and innovators in all countries including developing countries to coordinate and direct their efforts so that they can address both global and local challenges being faced. This conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and innovators in science, medicine, engineering, and computer science from all over the world to deliberate on technologically innovative efforts underway to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will share the effectiveness of existing and novel responses and shape strategies on R&D technological tools needed to address pressing health, social and economic challenges, as well as secure societies’ long-term resilience.
