UGHE’s e-learning efforts will continue to grow in the years to come. In order to ensure that this e-learning oriented future is linked with best practices e-Learning UGHE has started efforts toward creating a community of practice at the University. This community of practice will work together, sharing ideas, attending training and evolving UGHE’s e-learning efforts. 

The initial step of this community of practice will be a Canvas Certification course that lasts for three months. Interested faculty and staff are welcome to take the course with supervisor approval. The course will have the following format:

• Introduction to e-learning
• Instructional Design
• Canvas Tools
• Other Technologies
• ARCS Model (attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction)
• Assessment

At the conclusion of the course the faculty or staff member will be UGHE Certified.
